We’ll Share Hours Together on Your Wedding Day, So Here’s Who I Am and How I Work
MEET THE OWNER:
KASSANDRA
I’m Kassandra! Owner and Creative Director of Granite Stag.

There is truly nothing I love more than witnessing the connection between two people in love and preserving it in a way that feels honest, artful, and deeply personal. After 18+ years photographing weddings across New England and beyond, I still see the world through my camera’s perspective every single day. It’s not just what I do, it’s how I experience life.

I began my career learning under two of the most talented mentors in the industry. Starting my journey that way shaped everything about how I approach weddings: with intention, technical mastery, and a deep respect for the responsibility we carry. In 2011, I opened my own studio from my home in New Hampshire. Since then, Granite Stag has grown into a legacy level brand, capturing over 1,000 wedding days and expanding into our eight room studio in downtown Farmington, NH. We have an incredible team of professionals who share the same heart and dedication to our craft.

While we’ve been honored to be featured in high luxury publications and travel nationally for our couples, what matters most to me is the experience you have along the way.

Our approach is intentionally hands on. None of us do not simply show up with a camera on your wedding day. We walk alongside you throughout the entire journey.

From timeline guidance and lighting considerations to helping you feel confident in front of the camera with poising coaching during your engagement session. I am there as both your creative director and steady presence through out the time leading up to your day. I believe beautiful imagery comes from trust, preparation, and connection. The more supported you feel, the more natural and meaningful your photographs will be.

It is my priority to make the months leading up to your wedding feel smooth, organized, and even enjoyable. You deserve to feel cared for, understood, and fully confident that your memories are in capable hands.

This is more than photography… it’s stewardship of one of the most important seasons of your life. And I am truly honored to be part of it.

Art Meets Methodical Mastery, Always
From our first discovery call, I map your vision into a technical plan. I built a timeline with buffers and a lighting diagram for each location. I meter using histogram and zebras, set Kelvin white balance, and expose to protect skin tones. Fast primes, ND filters, and diffusion maintain character; off-camera flash with HSS balances harsh sun. For video, I stabilize on gimbals, record 4K 10-bit in log, and capture vows on dual lavs plus a 32-bit float recorder.
On the day, I work collaboratively with your planner, DJ, and officiant, and bring a second photographer when coverage requires parallel angles. My posing coaching stays natural and directional—micro-prompts, movement, and room to breathe. Ceremony is filmed at 24fps, 1/50 shutter; toasts and dances use 60fps for elegant slow-motion. Dual card slots write redundantly, timecode sync keeps audio aligned, and I clone cards to a portable SSD before leaving the venue.
In post, files are checksum-verified, mirrored to RAID, and encrypted in the cloud. I cull in Photo Mechanic, color in Lightroom with calibrated monitors, then retouch selectively in Photoshop. Films are edited in Premiere with LUT-guided grading, dialogue cleanup, noise reduction, licensed music, and sound design. You’ll receive a 48-hour sneak peek, a four-week gallery, two years of hosting, and album design support. Every step is documented, communicated, and delivered with care.
Lasting Presence
Calm Coverage

I photograph and film weddings with care and intention. Photography and video are essential because memory softens; sound, movement, and stills hold the feeling long after the day ends. I want to be remembered as the quiet steadiness in a joyful storm the person who noticed the hand squeeze, the shy smile, the breath before the vows. I want couples to say I cared, that I listened, that I protected what mattered. Not just the portraits, but the feeling.

I want my work to outlast trends to be opened years from now and still feel true. I want the kids who weren’t born yet to know how their parents laughed, how their grandparents’ eyes shimmered, how love looked in that light. I want my name to mean trust: punctual emails, clear guidance, calm presence, careful backups, honest editing, thoughtful delivery.

My vision is legacy minded every laugh, hand squeeze, and tear belongs to a record you can return to. I come from business, healthcare, and U.S. Army service, so I plan thoroughly, communicate clearly, and keep the day running smoothly. I scout light, coordinate with your planner, and anticipate moments without intruding. I coach naturally, using easy prompts and movement so you never feel stiff.
